When WCCC’s beloved Office Administrator Kathy Copplestone retired in May 2019, families and teachers made donations for the purchase of an outdoor drum in recognition of her more than 45 years of service. In addition to her business acumen and wit, Kathy was known for her drumming concerts for the children. THE BEAT GOES ON funds purchased a fabulous drum set that was installed on the Early Childhood Program’s playground in August 2020. After the pandemic, we will host a dedication party in Kathy’s honor by this drum set. In the meantime, very happy preschoolers make sure that ‘the beat goes on’ everyday on our playground.
